As part of its expansion plans, Julia is looking for a Sales Engineer/Technical Sales Specialist who will propose the entire product range and be responsible for achieving the targets in the assigned area, handling relations with existing customers and finding new ones

The position will report to the Germany Country Manager and, functionally, to the group Sales Manager (based in Italy)

The job location is Wermelskirchen (Cologne/Düsseldorf area) and at customer sites when required

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Coverage of the assigned area and responsibility for a sales budget
  • Knowledge of the product portfolio, and ability to present the solution and engage in detailed talks with the customer’s key staff
  • Monitoring and development of assigned customers
  • Scouting for an additional set of customers in the target: tool merchandisers, mechanical workshops, manufacturers who need cutting tools
  • Coordination of the sales cycle: management of customer portfolio, customer visit planning, presentation of solutions, pipeline generation, qualification of opportunities, formulation of offers, forecasting, order negotiation
  • Continuous training on solutions and technologies
  • Technical consultancy for customers on products and machine settings
  • Continuous interaction with head office in Italy to receive support and share opportunities and results
  • Interaction with all other company functions as part of team-working

Skills and Requirements

  • Native German speaker or equivalent; Good knowledge of English (the selection process will be conducted in English); Knowledge of Italian will be a plus
  • Residence (or willingness to move) in the local area; Own car
  • Technical/commercial experience; Ideally knowledge of the industrial tools sector
