That is the belief of market watcher Forrester, which predicts that the value of tech purchases in western and central Europe will rise 5.4 per cent in euro terms to €684bn this year. In 2016, spending growth is projected to stand at 4.1 per cent.

This year the biggest-spending countries will include the UK (€150.5bn), Germany (€112bn), and France (€89bn), Forrester forecasts. The market for software is expected to grow 7.4 per cent, while the systems integration and consulting space will see a seven per cent rise in its Worth.
